This series depicts three broken images. This theme is reflected by digital and conceptual elements in each photo. The first photo depicts a city landscape upside down in free fall. The second photo captures national conflict, questioning the instability of American identity, facing a human subject with a looming American flag. The final image is a confrontation with a crossroad, capturing a railroad sign and its surrounding landscape. This series builds on the skills I developed during my image layering study, showcasing how those skills can service a less abstract piece. I took the photos with a Panasonic LUMIX G7 and edited them in Photoshop.
