Toasty Time was my team’s submission to DevLUp’s Joint Jam ‘24, a game jam hosted over 48 hours on April 3, 2024. Toasty Time tasks the player to roast as many marshmallows as possible within a time limit. I was the primary artist on the team, and I created the marshmallow model and its various textures, the stick model and texture, the fireplace model and texture, and the game’s skybox. The textures take advantage of PRBs to highlight the stick’s bark and the marshmallow’s shape deformation. I also took advantage of emissive surfaces in the fireplace model, allowing the charcoal ember to be visible after all lights are removed from the scene. These samples were created in Blender.
